A note about titles: Bob Kebic chooses to identify his paintings simply by numeral rather than title. Doing so, he explains, opens up viewers to interpret the work in light of their own life experiences. He says that a formal title tends to distract from what is important.

Artist BOB KEBIC was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1951. Drawing and painting have been his passion since a young age. After graduation from the Ontario College of Art in 1974, he went on to pursue numerous editorial and advertising opportunities for such noted publications including McClelland and Stewart, Saturday Night Magazine, Harlequin Books, and for clients including Molson, Coke, Nike, Audi Canada, and the Royal Canadian Mint.

Kebic has spent a considerable part of the last decade travelling Canada and France, seeking inspiration for his abstract landscape paintings. He works with any medium he can get his hands on ranging from car wax (although it produces amazing effects, it takes a lifetime to dry) to now strictly oils.

The use of oils offers him a range of colours, textures, and hues that no other medium can touch. Kebic chooses to number his paintings instead of titling them, as he believes everyone will see something of their own life experience in his paintings.

Bob has lived in both Texas and Chicago, but currently makes Toronto his home.
